Best 5 Italian Restuarants!

If you are an Italian cuisine fan, then you are sure to be very picky about which restaurants you like to dine in. Every other restaurant in New York especially serves some Italian dishes along with other different cuisines. But finding a purely Italian restaurant with the authentic taste of Italy is not an easy task in New York City. So if you are looking for a great place to have your cravings fulfilled, then read on to find the best Italian restaurants in New York.
Babbo
Located deep inside Waverly Place, Babbo was previously a coach house, that was later transformed into this restaurant. A simple restaurant in terms of its decor and menu, don’t expect anything too fancy when you walk in. But the food is absolutely divine. Pure Italian cuisine at its best, Babbo is known for the sumptuous pastas that chef Mario Batali prepares. Choose any entre from the various different exotically named entres, and you will be purely satisfied with every one of them. Top your meal off with an authentic Italian wine from their wine collection.
Roberto’s
Tucked in Little Italy, Roberto’s is known for the large servings of their dishes, all which have a very homely feel to them. The decor of the restaurant is slightly rustic, with wooden chairs and tables, and the place is great for large parties. The crowd is always great, and the restaurant makes you feel like you are sitting in some small town in Italy. Their pastas are delectable, and are a must try!
Il Giglio
Another great restaurant with an authentic Italian feel to it. Il Giglio has a small dining room that offers a very comfortable meal. The place is never crampy, and the food is great. Try their famed spaghetti carbonara, or their prosciutto with veal chops; both are amazingly made, and well presented. The service in Il Giglio is really hospitable, which makes your whole dining experience a tad more special.
Al Di La
Al Di La is owned by a husband and wife duo, Emiliano Coppa and Anna Klinger. Both prepare the food in this restaurant themselves, and they are known for their Venetian dishes. A great place to go on a date, as this place has a casual yet intimate feel to it. Their collection of wine is great, so don’t forget to order one with your entre!
Arqua
Arqua is a particular favorite spot of business executives during the lunch hours, and in the evenings, its always packed with well-dressed regulars. The restaurant gives a very personal feel, and this is mainly due to the fact that it offers a casual dining experience to anyone who walks through their doors. Known for its Northern Italian cuisine, do try their tortellini with squash. The wine list is short, but has a number of impressive wines.
